This is our first real art project! I stole the idea from my Sugar Pie Sista, Jana. I did the cutting and helped him slather on the glue, and then he placed the small squares. He did a really good job, I'd say! I'm proud of his project.
We are slowly transitioning into a "home preschool" type of thing. He probably won't have the chance to go to preschool (long story, small school district, needs-based, etc). And aside from that, I feel that his education is my responsibility, even with a teacher. So I'm stepping up to the plate. Right now, we aren't doing a formal school setting. We are doing art projects, working on one or two worksheets each day for pre-writing skills, playing Sesame Street games on the computer (Thank you so much for the recommendation, Elizabeth!), and going for walks and small field trips.
I am putting together a curriculum, but it still won't be formal. It will be focused on helping him learn while he is having fun. Giving him the best start in life is my responsibility.
